We're looking for a copy editor to join our editorial team and be responsible for the copy-editing, proofreading, and overseeing corrections of the Beijinger’s products. The candidate should demonstrate a methodical, systems-based approach to ensuring that any written matter published by the company is clear, correct, concise, complete, and consistent. The copy editor is also responsible for instilling standards of journalistic professionalism in staff editors by providing critiques during planning and editing, and leading educational seminars and on-boarding training for incoming editors. Requirements include a bachelor's degree with major in English, journalism, or related fields and at least two years of relevant work experience. Interested? Part-Time Book Instructor
We don't usually post English teaching posts here as lord knows there are enough of them in our classifieds, but this one's different enough to be worth a gander. This school near Taiyanggong is looking for a part-time teacher to walk students through a book each month. The book club is on Saturdays, 6-8pm, and is available to open-minded and easygoing native English speakers with a Bachelor's degree or above. Similarly, for something a little more exciting than your run-of-the-mill teaching job, there's also this mall-based weekend drawing instructor in Dawanglu.

Full-Time Graphic Designer and 3D Designer and Art Director
A creative agency located in Changying is looking for a graphic designer and 3D designer to join their team. The candidate should be keen, curious, and have a unique artistic style as well as have a solid knowledge of related design software and good hand sketching skills. The art director position would require someone that is an expert in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent) as well as graphic design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.

Beer and Food Brand Manager
Vandergeeten, the premium European food and beverage distributor, is looking to expand their team with a brand manager for some of their food and beer brands. Responsibilities will include building brand identity, increasing visibility, and initiating and coordinating action plans for specific brands. You'll also need to participate and organize events with the support of the brand managers and design team and maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. The candidate will have a good grasp of Chinese, excellent communication skills, and experience in the F&B business.

Chief Toy Designer
Looking to get out of Beijing? Live out your childhood dreams with this Shanghai-based job, the perfect opportunity to design the toys that you would have wanted when you were a healthy, innocent, uncynical pre-adult. The lucky candidate will be responsible for keeping tabs on mainstream plush toy trends, artwork design for new toys, market research, training new designers. Sadly, this is not an entry-level job so you will have had to be doing something similar for five years previously as well be proficient in design.
