Atta BJ Opens in China World Mall For Creative Italian With Cocktails and a View

The new China World Mall has been tempting us with one exciting opening after another on what feels like a daily basis. We've already been to check out the new Blue Frog terrace (which you apparently have to book to get onto due to its popularity!), Little Susu, Sproutworks, Nyonya Kitchen, and F Bistronome and, since then, we've also paid a visit to Italian restaurant Atta BJ.

Boasting a similarly spectacular view to some of the abovementioned venues, Atta BJ focuses on creative Italian food, with pizza, risotto, meats, seafood, and oysters on their menu, as well as soups, salads, and dishes to share (think meatballs and calamari).

Going through most of their menu during our tasting, the grilled tiger prawns (RMB 178), which were genuinly huge, stood out for their fresh flavors. They were smokey from the grill, easy to peel, and came with a creamy Champagne saffron sauce as well as a fresh fennel salad. On the other side of the 'from the grill' menu, the grilled Australian grain-fed 300 days tenderloin (RMB 218) was juicy and tender, and came medium-rare. A rosemary sauce finished off the tenderloin, as well as some roasted vegetables.

If you're going with friends, which we recommend because the cocktails are also delicious and perfect for after work drinks, get the pizza, pasta, or risotto. Not only are these a little more affordable than the items from the grill (priced at RMB 88-108), but they're also a little easier to share with your friends while you're enjoying the incredible view. Best ring up ahead to book a table by the window.
