A Year and a Half On and Nuo Brunch is Still One of the Best Buffet Hotel Brunches in Beijing
When you think buffet, you don't necessarily think 'good quality,' but N'Joy's (located in Nuo Hotel) buffet hotel brunch most certainly overcomes that negative stereotype. We first went to check out N'Joy when it first opened almost a year and a half ago, and we're happy to report that the quality remains excellent and that it's a brunch most certainly worth saving your pennies for.
With some of the widest variety we've seen at hotel buffets, N'Joy is a good option for those trying to keep it fresh (a lot of sushi and sashimi, with a fresh tuna carved up every Sunday, lots of other fresh seafood, a salad bar, and a good fruit selection), but also for those who are looking for an indulgent Sunday meal. My British dining companion was overjoyed to see Yorkshire puddings on offer, and lots of traditional grilled meats and a huge sausage selection only added to that excitement.
The Indian curries also stood out for their inclusion, an item that are less often spotted at Beijing buffets, and we were also impressed by the huge cheese selection. We'd recommend going for a special occasion, perhaps in place of an evening out, and making a change to the usual headache-inducing birthdays that you may have once opted for.
The buffet is available on Sundays only, 11.30am-2pm, and costs RMB 398 per person for the food, and free-flow champagne is an additional RMB 268 or RMB 100 for free-flow wines.* If you're eating lobster, fresh tuna, caviar, and hitting the desserts hard, the splurge is definitely worth it.
*As with all hotels, VAT and service charge are added to the price, bringing the total cost of the buffet to RMB 465, with approximately RMB 310 for the champagne add-on, and wine RMB 115.
