Summer is a time when partying reaches critical levels, with events happening around every corner along with a mass of recent arrivals (fresh blood) thirsting for the best nightlife activities Beijing has to offer. Needless to say, there’s a lot of fun to be had by all and now’s the time to put those low key tendencies aside and join the flock. Here're the best events this weekend that will surely provide you with some much-needed opportunities to cut loose.

Jun 3: El Tigre Soundsystem featuring Andy Smith
El Tigre Soundsystem is back with a vengeance! This time around, master of the mix Cad 73 is joined by none other than Andy Smith, who will be performing his classic mixtape The Document live. Along with being one of the first artists to release a multi-genre mix on a major record label propelling to work with Portishead and later on being declared one of the 20 top DJs in the world by Future Music Radar. Jun 4: Slumber Station presents Bounce Room
Tired of the same old EDM that abounds around town on any given weekend. Give Slumber Station a try as they take their misfit dance music to REC Room. You can expect a divine mix of live and DJ sets featuring latin and bass fusions by Luxixi, Spyfi (aka Senders Chen), and Joy Ginger. It’s going to be hot hot hot. Free. 10pm. Rec Room
Jun 4: Neon Zoo
Beijing's wildest party series, Neon Zoo, returns! There will be UV lights, neon decorations, face/body painting and two rooms of exemplary tech-house from some of Beijing’s most exciting DJs (El-Mar, Ou Yang, and Danny Flora). Since their humble beginnings, the team has pushed boundaries with UV technology so that you’ll find the brightest and most powerful UV lighting experience at all of their events. Jun 5: Dive In: Vol 2
The folks at Migas are back at it again this summer with their Dive In: Vol 2. Expect an adventure beyond the city limits filled with fun in the sun, delicious Mediterranean eats, and delicious cocktails all included. The Migas resident DJs will also be in attendance providing some chill house mixes to complement your brunch and poolside activities all day long. The location is secret, probably to prevent from undesirables crashing the party, but there will be free transport leaving from the 3.3 Mall in Sanlitun, on Sunday morning. RMB 680. 10am-7pm.
