Apr 15: Funk Fever’s 7th Anniversary Bash
The Funk Fever crew have been rendering people sweaty messes on the dancefloor for seven years now. Help them celebrate a joyous seven years this Friday as they smear their fans with a thick spoonful of funk, a handful of surprise guests, and giveaways to make for an unforgettable birthday blowout. Apr 16: Space/Play Committee Presents Sidney and Suleiman
Sidney and Suleiman have created a strong musical and visual presence with their label Latency, but as DJs and record collectors they have become recognized as rising talents in the underground house and techno scene. They’ve played in some of the most respected clubs and festivals around the world, including Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, and Freerotation, and now Space/Play Committee is honored to have them behind the decks in China for the very first time with support from Boflex, Zhi Qi, Gina, and Stanley. Apr 16: Jozef K, Jigsaw, and Will A
Minimalist, Dada’s long-running house and techno night, celebrates five years by bringing in internationally acclaimed DJs Jozef K and Jigsaw, for a massive night of thumping futuristic sounds straight from the source. Let their tunes and dazzling skills behind the decks transport you to the world’s epicenters of dance music without ever leaving the cozy confines of Gulou. Apr 16: I Wear My Sunglasses At Night Vol. 2
Do you need to keep track of visions in your eyes? (what does that even mean?) Well, then you need to wear those sunglasses at night, like that Cory Hart song so elegantly suggests. Party the night away like new wave royalty as 8-Bit lays down a bunch of generous drinks deals, including RMB 25 big bottles of Kirin and RMB 30 mixed drinks, and 80s anthems from DJs Compact Dicks and yours truly, Cousin Kippy.
