Kipp's Picks: Oddisee, Sinotronics, Franz Underwear, and Crazy 8s at GLB45

This weekend is relatively slim pickings when it comes to our beloved city’s party circuit, but here’s a list of our favorite events and drink promotions to get your juices and bodies flowing to the beats during your precious leisure time at the week's end.

Nov 8-15: Crazy 8s at GLB45
Great Leap #45 has been open for eight months and to mark this especially lucky occasion they’ve got a generous promotion where you can purchase eight beers for RMB 248. That’s RMB 32 per beer, just in case you were about to jump over to your calculator and figure out the breakdown. You can also split the eight beers across the week if you don’t think you can down them all in one night. 11am-2am. Great Leap #45

Nov 13: Antidote presents: Franz Underwear
This will be the boss behind the sleazy Italo disco label Slow Motion, Franz Underwear's Asia debut. Grease back your hair and get those gold chains in place as he digs into the DJ decks with a mixed set of electro, old school disco, obscure Italo disco, Detroit, Chicago, disco house, acid, new-wave, and 80's. *And breathe*. 10pm. RMB 50. Dada

Nov 13: Sinotronics Club Lab
Bit Tuner (Switzerland) is back with a vengeance as he unloads his ninja-like dexterity on those suffering Akai MPC pads at Beijing’s oldest (and sometimes best) techno club Lantern. He will be joined by the regular crew of Sinotronics label mates including Menghan and MMS in the mini room till morning. RMB 30 (free before 11pm). 10pm. Lantern

Nov 15: Oddisee: The Good Fight Album Tour
Oddisee is a Sudanese-American producer/DJ from Washington DC and the winner of the 2012 iTunes Music Awards. Oddisee has gone on to perform his Sudanese inspired tunes with The Roots, produce for Freeway, Jazzy Jeff, Little Brother, De La Soul and Nikki Jean, and has MC’d on production from Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke, and Kev Brown. He will be supported by DJ Jamming and Chacha. RMB 150, RMB 100 (advance). 9pm. Yugong Yishan
