Beijing Subway Line 14 Extension to Open By Year's End, Connects Wangjing with Line 1 and Beijing South Station

A new extension of Beijing Subway Line 14, which currently takes residents of northeastern Beijing to points as far south as Line 6, will begin reaching Line 1 and Beijing South Station, with service beginning at the end of the year, the Beijing Municipal Planning Commission announced.

Line 14 will now connect with Lines 15 at Wangjing station, Line 6 at Jintailu, Line 1 at Dawanglu, Line 7 at Jiulongshan, Line 10 at Fangzhuang, Line 5 at Puhuangyu, Line 8 at Yongdingmenwai, and Line 4 at Beijing South Railway Station.

The new total length of the route will be 47.3 kilometers, more than double the current length.
