The Job Hunt: Bartender, Professional Clown, Partnerships Manager, Graphic Designer
We know changing careers or finding a new job isn't easy, but that’s where our Classifieds section comes in to save the day. As always, there are a bunch of interesting jobs advertized, so in order to give you a little bit extra motivation needed to find something new, we've rounded up the best!
Bartender
One of Gulou's most popular bars, Cellar Door, is looking for a new bartender to take on one or two shifts a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. You'd be going it alone, gaining useful experience and avoiding, as they put it, the usual infantilising nano-management.
Professional Clowns
A comedy show at a shopping center in Beijing coming up soon on October 31 still needs some professional clowns. You've got to be funny (obviously) and have experience. If you're interested, send your pictures and video as well as phone number to the email address in the classified.
Partnerships Manager
A fast-growing US-based education company is looking for a partnerships manager. Duties include analyzing market and program development opportunities, working in China and possibly abroad, research and develop key targets, and answering questions from students, parents, and NGO partners.
Graphic Designer
A unique start-up is looking for a graphic designer who is able to prepare preliminary concept designs, layouts, specify illustrated graphics into final layours, brochures, posters, and banners, while also supporting the web development team with the layout of the webpage.
Marketing Interns
An educational consulting firm is looking for marketing interns with excellent English and intermediate Chinese with a passion towards education. Must have excellent communication skills, as you'll be in charge of communicating with clients and also do the occasional teaching and training.
