Burger Brief: Let’s Burger's Cheese King Burger
Burger Brief takes a look at some of the contestants in the Beijinger's 2015 Burger Cup. Now down to the wire with the Elite Eight, we talk to Patrick So and Dickson Fang of Let's Burger, whose venue is still in contention for the honor of Beijing's Best Burger.
Name: Co-owner Patrick So and Manager Dickson Fang
Nationality: Chinese
Number of years in Beijing: Born and raised in Beijing
Venue: Let’s Burger
Name of Signature burger: Cheese King Burger
Tell us about your signature burger. What makes it the best burger in Beijing?
Our Cheese King Burger has cheese galore: mozzarella, Danish brie cheese and cream cheese on a red pepper wedge with a beef patty and freshly selected greens, topped with blue cheese dressing. It’s a wonderful choice for cheese lovers as it's the ultimate version of the cheeseburger, dishing up four different cheeses in one bite. This is a revolutionary new twist on the traditional burger, and is 100 percent created by Let’s, making it unique and is unavailable anywhere else in the world. It demonstrates the Let’s personality: creative, fun, tasty eye-catching, and perfect for Instagram [laughs].
What does the burger come with?
All of our burgers are served without any side dish. If guests want fries they need to order them a la carte. Our fries are also very popular – we have more than 10 kinds of homemade dipping sauces to go with them.
What drink from your menu goes best with the burger?
I think the Mojito Breeze goes best with burger, and is our most popular drink. It’s a great summer mocktail made with fragrant mint, tangy lime, and fizzy soda. It's particularly refreshing due to its minty flavor and is a perfect accompaniment to the heavyweight Cheese King Burger.
What other burgers do you have on the menu?
We have 21 kinds of burgers on our menu. Two of the most popular are our Devil Burger, which includes cheddar cheese, grilled bell peppers, fennel, and our secret recipe of spicy devil meat sauce, as well as our Stuff Cheese Burger, which has a grilled beef patty filled with molten cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
