A Lush Sunrise Captured Over Beijing

The sun is always welcome in Beijing, even when it's scorching hot and theatens to melt your face off from the inside. And here is another reason to love it when it comes out of hiding – a reader going by the name Matt Godfrey sent us pictures of the incredible sunrise, looking east across Chaoyang Park on Thursday morning.

It is undertermined as to whether pollution caused the hues you see here but it's difficult to care when this is the final product.
