Community Matters: Color Run Brings the World's Happiest 5K to Beijing
If the Color Punch Party last June at 2 Kolegas wasn’t enough for you, put your white Ts in the wash because The Color Run is coming to Beijing next month. The event website boasts that this is the happiest five kilometers on the planet with two simple rules: “wear white at the starting line” and “finish plastered in color.”
There are no winners in this run and no time clocked. It’s just about having a great time with family and friends to promote health, happiness and individuality. Anyone as young as two or as old as 80 is welcome to run and get sprayed with the colors of the rainbow once every kilometer of the track.

The Color Run Beijing will take place at the 9th China (Beijing) Garden Expo in Fengtai District along the Yongding River on August 10 at 3:30pm. The venue is described by People's Daily as being a total of 513 hectares, almost twice the size of the Summer Palace, and includes 128 varieties of gardens from around the world. A map of the route is available for download and participation costs RMB 150 with online payment and registration. See you at the finish line.
