The Best of Joyce in Asia

Mere months ago, we reveled in the opening of this Hong Kong boutique in warehouse form. Now Beijing is finally being treated to the real thing. At 20,000 square feet, the China World branch – with two floors of men’s and women’s fashion and a sweeping staircase that looks like it was made for gliding – is the largest and most impressive in the region.

True to form, Joyce shows the same refined taste as its sister brand Lane Crawford, but veers towards the more fashion-forward and avant-garde. The clothes and accessories reflect a unique edit of the latest collections by Azzedine Alaia, Balenciaga, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens, Undercover and more; the beauty range, too, is mainly plucked from cult lines. But lest you assume that Joyce only supports the tried-and-true, the store has also devoted space for a gallery that will showcase the work of up-and-coming artists.
