Transport News Live: Subways, Airport and Roads Fall Victim to Floods

We've just found out what some of you will have already found out the hard way: Beijing's transport network has been hit by floods. This afternoon's downpour has laid waste to the travel plans of many of the city's commuters. Currently it's affecting the subway, the roads and the airport.

Subway
Line 1 is closed. Line 4 is being filled with water - Taoranting station in Xicheng has become a waterfall. Lines 2 and 10 are said to be halting service at around 6.30pm.

Roads
Weibo reports that there is 1.2m of water at Lianhua Qiao in Haidian. Avoid the middle section of the West 3rd ring if you can. There's a photo of one unlucky driver's car underwater from there. The bus stops around Hufang Qiao have flooded.

Airport
50% of flights at Capital Airport are grounded.
