ChinaDoll Curse Strikes Again

First there was one, then there were two, then one, two, back to one, and now ... none. We've just heard that ChinaDoll in 3.3 has closed its doors. After its initial closure, the club was relaunched in April this year, but now it's gone again.

Organizers seem to have been taken by surprise by the news, and we're waiting to hear more on what went wrong. BaiCai have confirmed that Damian Lazarus' visit to ChinaDoll, scheduled for Nov 28, has been canceled. The after-party for Yen Black, also on Nov 28, will presumably be switched to another venue - we'll update you when we get the info on that.

Where all this leaves ChinaDoll is unclear. We wouldn't rule out yet another relaunch, but between this venue and the original club in Tongli Studio, ChinaDoll is one name that seems dogged by misfortune. The book is certainly about to be closed on the Tongli ChinaDoll story - the space will reopen as the new White Rabbit in late November or early December. And as your superstitious old gran will tell you, a bit of "white rabbit" at the beginning of the month ought to bring good luck. ChinaDoll could have used some of that.
