Bratwurst & Beats: All the Entertainment at Sausage Fest!

In one week’s time the FFC South Square will be full of the aroma of sizzling sausages while banging beats vibrate in the air as the first day of Sausage Fest kicks off! We’ve already taken a look at some of the gastronomic delights that will be served at the fest – be sure to keep an eye out for the second part next week – but it’s not just meaty delights that we’ve got in store. From a special collaborative night with legendary nightclub DADA on Friday to a tug-of-war competition, some of Beijing’s best bands and DJs and slick dance performances, we’ve got a smorgasbord of entertainment lined up for you!

the Beijinger X DADA Night

DADA’s DJs team is partnering up with us on Friday (May 17) to bring an evening full of music – funk, disco, rock, and quirky sounds from around the world. Combined with our outstanding selection of sausages and hot dogs, it is the perfect way to kick start your weekend!

DJ Ozone

DADA owner DJ Ozone will be doing what he does best: playing a delicious mix of rock, 80s pop, funk, and weird disco gems from the North Pole to the tropics.


DJ Leo Furioso

DJ Leo Furioso runs the Porco Disco brand, playing spicy, meaty Italo disco and proto-house bangers.


DJ Watermelon

DJ Watermelon runs the Pop City, Inc. nights at DADA, and tours extensively around China/Asia, playing well-crafted, artisanal sets of funk, soul and other organic, global sounds.

Slipped Disc

Do you fancy yourself a macho man or woman and want the chance to show off your strength on stage? Then grab some of your friends and join our tug-of-war competition! Taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 5pm, teams of eight will battle it out until one reigns supreme to win the glory of being crowned the strongest team in Beijing, and take home some great prizes to boot!


Viral Dance Competition

If you’re always busting moves in the mirror or can floss without breaking a sweat then our Viral Dance Competition is for you! They say dance like nobody is watching, but why not dance with everyone watching and nab yourself some fabulous prizes along the way. The Viral Dance Competition will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm, so start practicing your dance moves now!

Cold Summer

Born from a shared love for rock music and a thirst for creative expression, Cold Summer has emerged as a force to be reckoned with. Hailing from Colombia, Greece, Australia, Ecuador and Russia, this band of friends united their diverse backgrounds and musical influences to craft a sound that is both familiar and refreshing. From electrifying covers to soul-stirring originals, Cold Summer expects to captivate audiences with their raw energy and unwavering passion for the craft.


Golden Hour

Golden Hour is a Beijing-based band that pays tribute to the legendary singers of soul, pop, and rock. Inspired by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles and more, Golden Hour deliver powerful and passionate performances that not only showcase their diverse talents but are also guaranteed to get you up and dancing. 


Pretty Ugly

Pretty Ugly is a seven-piece band made up entirely of freshmen students from Dulwich College Beijing. They recently won the Audience Favorite Award at the International School Battle of the Bands, as well as the Best Stage Presence award and third place overall in the competition. They play Top 40 tunes from bands such as One Republic, Kelly Clarkson and Bon Jovi.


DJ Ennoe Alpha

A familiar face at Beijinger events, DJ Ennoe Alpha will be closing out the Sausage Fest on Saturday and Sunday. Expect great tunes, loads of dancing and super high energy levels. DJ Ennoe Alpha joined the entertainment scene in 2018. He taught himself how to blend in mixed tracks from listening to superstar DJs and car radio stations in numerous DJ mixes, and has dominated the popular Afrobeat hip-hop and reggae environment ever since. He blends a mix of tracks from genres such as reggae, reggae dub step, Afrobeat, deep house and funky house. Aside from Beijinger festivals he’s played at other major events like the British Ball and at some of Beijing’s best music venues such as DADA, Modernista, Mango and more. 


DJ Darlin

DJ Darlin is a professional musician, keyboardist and independent producer. Studying classical music from a young age, Darlin learned to play many different kinds of keyboard. His musical experience has helped him grow a particular understanding of mixing, and he’s also a pro at using Roland products. Darlin has become good at combining Techno with other root music, developing his own unique “777 dance music player." He covers a broad range of genres including techno, house, trance, disco and more.


DJ Lolly

DJ Lolly, the newest sensation in the capital's music scene, embarked on her musical journey in 2022. She has quickly become a rising star in the industry, captivating audiences with her infectious beats and undeniable passion for music. Inspired by the pulsating rhythms of Afro house, DJ Lolly brings a fresh and dynamic energy to every set, transporting you to a world where the music moves your body and soul.


DMC RK

DMC RK began learning the erhu when he was aged five, which has brought a special quality and style to his music. While he was studying in the US, he regularly did DJ sets at parties and following his return to China began performing as DMC RK in various places around Beijing. His music style is tropical house, hip-hop and funky soul and he loves to build up emotion in his sets to get the audience pumping.


Dancing 

Hood Kidz 

Get down with Hood Kidz, one of the first Hip-Hop theatre crews in China, founded by artist Huang Yu Long and American dancer Ticky. These guys throw down with original moves and choreography, showcasing the best of street dance styles. They rock hoodies with masks, keeping it slick and mysterious, so it's all about the collective energy, not who's who. Roll through and vibe out with Hood Kidz – it’s not just dance, it’s the street in every step, where everyone gets to be part of the story!


K-POP Show by E-Shine

K-pop fans prepare to get excited for E-Shine's fun and energy filled dance performance! A well-known dance club from Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB), E-Shine mainly focuses on dance routines from K-pop groups, including styles like urban, jazz and hip-hop among others. Established back in 2012, E-Shine has been active on major stages both inside and outside the university as well as regularly organizing dance activities on campus.

Jingkids Corner

The Sausage Fest prides itself on being a family-friendly event, with activities designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. Kids will love the dedicated play area, while parents can relax knowing that their little ones are safe and entertained, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the festivities. Remember kids 1.4m and below are free before 2pm every day (full price after 2pm). Kids under 1.2m get in for free all day long.


Sausage Fest will be taking place at FFC South Square on May 17 from 4-9pm and on May 18 and 19 from 11am-9pm. Early bird tickets are RMB 25, VIP tickets are RMB 108 and tickets on the door are RMB 35. You can purchase tickets be scanning the QR code in the poster above.
